In 1700, Marquis Le Thanh Nguyen Huu Canh visited Chan Lap. On the way back, he stopped at Cay Sao island, later people renamed it Ong Chuong island. In addition, to show gratitude and commemorate the man who contributed to the history of expanding the land, there are many temples to him on this island. Thanh Marquis Nguyen Huu Canh's Ceremonial Palace in Kien An commune located on the banks of Ong Chuong River, also known as Ong Lon's Palace, is an ancient relic with high artistic value. The palace's architecture has a traditional style, the roof has two levels of roof gradually spreading downwards, the main doors and windows are round arches, formal and elegant... The palace's interior is splendidly decorated with many horizontal panels, parallel tureens, lamellas, castles... skillfully carved and painted with outstanding golden steel. Around the walls are paintings with vivid colors and delicate lines. In the middle of the main hall is a solemnly decorated God altar, in front is a portrait of Marquis Le Thanh, and behind are three prominent Chinese characters "Supreme God". The Palace holds the Marquis Thanh's death anniversary on the 8th and 9th of the 5th lunar month every year. View more
