AN GIANG PROVINCE INVESTMENT, TRADE AND TOURISM PROMOTION CENTER ATTENDED THE PRELIMINARY CONFERENCE OF THE PROJECT TO DEVELOP TOURISM IN KIEN HAI SPECIAL ZONE 2025, WITH A VISION TO 2030

On November 18, 2025, at the People's Committee of Kien Hai Special Zone, a conference was held to review the implementation of the Kien Hai Special Zone Tourism Development Project in 2025 and orientation to 2030. The conference was attended by representatives of many departments, branches, localities and tourism enterprises in the province. Attending the conference, the An Giang Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion gave an important speech, focusing on the current status of promotion and promotion work and proposed solutions to strengthen the linkage in developing tourism in Kien Hai Special Zone.

However, promotion activities are still scattered and lack uniformity; tourism products are not really diverse; Communication campaigns are not yet large enough to strongly spread the image of Kien Hai to key markets.
In addition, the connection between Kien Hai and the provinces in the region, especially An Giang, although implemented, has not yet fully exploited the potential of tourist routes and destinations, data sharing and product synchronization. In the discussion, the Center proposed a number of key groups of solutions:
Strengthening communication links between provinces
- Building common communication campaigns according to sea - mountain tourism clusters between Kien Hai and neighboring provinces.
- Coordinating the organization of famtrips, presstrips, inter-regional tourism introduction programs.
Applying digital transformation in promotion:
- Developing a shared tourism data platform, smart digital maps, image libraries.
- Common videos for the region.
- Promoting promotion on social networking platforms, OTAs and international media channels.
Connecting tours – inter-regional routes:
– Forming combined tours: Sam Mountain – Tra Su Melaleuca Forest – Rach Gia – Nam Du Archipelago; or pilgrimage – ecological – sea and island routes.
– Encouraging travel agencies of the two provinces to cooperate in developing seasonal specific products.
Promote tourism investment:
– Strengthening the introduction of the list of priority investment projects of Kien Hai special economic zone to potential investors.
– Promoting public-private cooperation in tourism infrastructure development.
Linking tourism development cooperation between An Giang – Kien Hai and localities in the region is a key factor to enhance the brand of sea and island tourism and specific eco-tourism of the region. The synchronous implementation of solutions will contribute to making Kien Hai an attractive and sustainable destination according to the Project's objectives by 2030.
