THE 3RD AN GIANG SOUTHERN VIETNAMESE TRADITIONAL CAKE FESTIVAL WILL TAKE PLACE IN LONG XUYEN WARD

To enhance the promotion of local specialties for residents and tourists, the An Giang Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, in coordination with the Long Xuyen Ward People's Committee, will organize the 3rd An Giang Southern Vietnamese Traditional Cake Festival combined with the Tourism, Trade and OCOP Product Promotion Fair in 2026.

The event will feature approximately 300 booths and is expected to take place from July 31st to August 8th, 2026 at the Golden City Urban Area, Long Xuyen Ward, An Giang Province. The opening ceremony will be held on the evening of July 31st. The stalls operate from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily, with no entrance fee on any day. There are also art performances from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM every night.

The festival space is divided into 5 areas: Traditional cake performance and display area (approximately 60 stalls); An Giang province tourism and OCOP product exhibition and promotion area (Common House); Tourism display and promotion area for provinces, cities, and tourism businesses inside and outside the province (approximately 30 stalls); OCOP product and specialty product area (approximately 40 stalls); Area showcasing regional culinary specialties (approximately 30 stalls); and a general trade area (approximately 140 stalls).

Specifically, from August 1st to August 7th, at 4 PM, a demonstration of preparing traditional dishes and folk cakes, along with free distribution, will take place at the event's "Common House" booth. Here, artisans from communes, wards, and special zones throughout the province will demonstrate the preparation of a large quantity of delicious traditional cakes and dishes from An Giang, serving them free of charge to locals and visitors attending the festival.

It is known that the Southern Folk Cake Festival - An Giang, combined with the Tourism, Trade, and OCOP Product Promotion Fair, is a program successfully organized by the Center for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion in 2024 and 2025. Through this, it not only contributes to preserving, honoring, and spreading the cultural values ​​of local folk cuisine, but also creates opportunities for traditional products to reach consumers, gradually expanding the market and increasing their economic value.

This is also an opportunity to promote the beauty of An Giang's land and people, scenic spots, tourism resources, and unique products to a wide range of tourists; contributing to further boosting the province's tourism stimulus programs for the summer of 2026.
