The An Giang Provincial Chefs Association held its first General Assembly for the 2025-2030 term.

On the afternoon of January 10, 2026, in the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone, the An Giang Provincial Chefs Association held its first General Assembly for the 2025-2030 term.

Attending the Assembly were representatives from the Department of Tourism, the Foreign Security Department of the Provincial Police, the An Giang Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, the Ha Tien Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone People's Committee, the Mekong Delta Chefs Association, Chefs Associations from other provinces and cities (Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Ca Mau, etc.), and over 150 members of the An Giang Provincial Chefs Association.

The Assembly aimed to evaluate the achievements, advantages, and difficulties encountered in implementing tasks over the past period, and to set forth directions and tasks for the next term. The Congress elected 20 delegates to the Executive Committee of the An Giang Provincial Chefs Association for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Phan Van Tung was elected Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Chefs Association for the 2025-2035 term.

At the Congress, on behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, the leaders of the Department of Tourism presented and awarded the Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the An Giang Provincial Chefs Association for its significant contributions to the development of tourism, foreign affairs, and border areas in 2025. At the same time, the Department of Tourism also awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 individuals who are members of the An Giang Provincial Chefs Association for their active participation in promoting An Giang province's cuisine in 2025.
