80 years after President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, Vietnam took a great journey not only to assert national sovereignty but also to enhance the national status in the international arena.

"Exhibition of the country's achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day" took place from August 28 to September 5, 2025, at the National Exhibition Center (Coo Loa Commune, Hanoi)

“The National Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day” is not merely an event, but a song with images, artifacts and technology, deeply depicting the journey of building water, preserving water and reaching out to the world.

Thereby, honoring the outstanding achievements in the process of developing the country through the period; affirming the leadership role of the Party, the management of the State, the consensus, creativity and efforts of the whole nation in the construction and development of the country.

In the context that the country is implementing the goals of the 10-year socio-economic development strategy (2021-2030), towards the 14th Congress of the Party, the organization of the Exhibition is more important in summarizing the past road, inspiring innovation and creativity for the next stage of development.

At the same time, contributing to building and strengthening the great unity of the whole people, strengthening the people’s trust in the leadership of the Party and the State, faith in the future of the country’s future development.

A historical milestone is vividly re-enacted

With the theme “80 Years of Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness”, the exhibition will take place from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the National Exhibition Center (Chang Sa Street, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi City).

This is not only a national-level political-cultural event, but also a special milestone in the process of identifying and strengthening Vietnam’s identity in the context of globalization and rapid transformation of the digital age.

The theme “80 Years of the Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness” was chosen to remember the day Uncle Ho read the Declaration of Independence, the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, ushering in a new era for the nation – the Era of independence, freedom and socialism.

At the same time, conveying the message about a country that continues to be resilient affirming the fundamental values: national independence, national unity and national happiness. These are the three pillars of all policies, strategies and achievements that our country has been creating over the past 8 decades.

An unprecedented exhibition of scale - depth - technology

There has never been an exhibition in Vietnam’s history held on the scale, depth and technological coverage as this time. Under the direction of the Government, directly as Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Head of the Steering Committee “Exhibition of the Country’s Achievement on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day”, along with the host of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the permanent unit, the exhibition is the result of comprehensive coordination between ministries, branches, localities, businesses and people.

The exhibition space consists of three large subdivisions: General exhibition subdivision (Kim Quy Exhibition House); Outdoor Exhibition Subdivision (Dentries: East, West, South, North); International Exhibition Subdivision and 12 Cultural Industry (Force House A).

The general exhibition subdivision (Kim Quy Exhibition House) is the theme of Vietnam - The journey to the new era.

The general exhibition area consists of cross-sectional slices of history and vertical slices that are core values, great achievements and immortal myths of the history of building water and preserving Vietnam are led on a journey of experience that contains profound messages.

The subdivision consists of 6 exhibition spaces with themes: Vietnam - Country - People; 95 years of Party flags; Development creation; Strong water-rich province; Economic locomotives; National start-up.

Outdoor exhibition subdivision has the theme of integration and development.

Subdivisions include: Theme display space For the green future; Space for the theme of sky aspiration; Space for the theme of Swords and shields; Space for the theme of the river festival; Space for performing art shows.

International exhibition subdivisions and 12 cultural industries (at Block A Exhibition House) have the theme of Integration and creativity.

This exhibition subdivision includes: Creative theme exhibition space for construction and space to display the theme of Vietnam and the world.

The subdivisions clearly demonstrate the strategy of green economic development, aviation industry, defense and security, creative experience space, digital transformation, AI, 3D mapping, connecting Vietnam with international friends.

In particular, the form of display is not only the pano, artifacts that combine multi-layer elements: Light, sound, digital, high-tech projection, virtual reality, multimedia interaction ... An exhibition that converges both the length of history and depth of thought, the direction of national development.

The logo is used in media documents, pano, posters, backdrops, backdrops, gifts, publications ... related to the activities of the exhibition

Protection and construction: Two axis throughout history and present

From the early days of the country with countless difficulties, wars, poverty, division, to the period of innovation in 1986, then deep integration into the global economy, Vietnam closely follows two strategic tasks: Protecting and building the country.

This exhibition clearly depicts those two axes: From the Sword and the shield, the symbol of defense power, to the development of the construction, the start-up of the national ants, the desire for sustainable development, greenness, digitization and humanity.

With the spirit of “no one left behind”, social security policy, poverty alleviation, community health, liberal and inclusive education is also expressed through the display space, affirming the central role of people in all directions of development.

The connection between tradition and modernity

The exhibition not only talks about progressive steps, but also connects the past and present in a coherent way. The images, the story of Uncle Ho, about the leaders, revolutionary soldiers, scientists, artists, businessmen, farmers ... create an inspirational figure, each one contributes to the construction of the country.

Cultural space of ethnic groups, images of three regions, traditional architecture to modernity, festival culture, performing arts are also put into display with vivid and new storytelling. The presence of countries with special diplomatic relations is also an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its position and expand cultural diplomacy.
