Discovering agricultural tourism – Connecting for community development

Located on the island of My Hoa Hung commune - a land rich in revolutionary tradition, the hometown of President Ton Duc Thang. My Hoa Hung Agricultural and Tourism Service Cooperative was formed as a new cooperative economic model, integrating sustainable agricultural development and exploiting the potential of community tourism.
Operating under the motto “Connecting for the development of the community”, the Cooperative not only plays the role of a bridge to support farmers in the production - consumption chain of agricultural products, but also proactively creates unique tourism products closely related to the working life, activities and culture of residents in the river area, thereby contributing to the preservation and promotion of traditional values ​​in the process of socio-economic development in the locality. 

The Cooperative is currently implementing many diverse activities such as:
- Linking the supply of agricultural materials (Binh Duong Con Voi organic fertilizer, Mai Thien Thanh organic fertilizer);

- Purchasing free-range chickens, connecting consumption for restaurants and eateries;

- Organizing tours to visit Long Xuyen floating market, Bac Ton Memorial Site, fruit gardens, traditional craft villages, Ong Ho Temple, fish rafts on the river, etc.

- Agricultural experience services: growing vegetables, catching chickens, bailing out ditches to catch fish - suitable for students, families and tourists who want to explore the life of farmers.

- Renting tourist vehicles such as rickshaws, bicycles, boats to visit the floating market and Ong Ho Islet.

- Relaxing fishing - rustic cuisine at eco-restaurants.
- Stay at Homestay/Farmstay in ancient stilt houses, green and peaceful space.

- Organize exchange and bonding activities such as amateur music, BBQ parties, team building, birthdays, gala, etc.

Promoting the advantages of unique ecological landscapes, preserved traditional culture and the hospitality of the local community, My Hoa Hung Agricultural and Tourism Service Cooperative has gradually affirmed its role as a typical agricultural tourism model of An Giang province. This is not only an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists, but also an ideal experiential space for people to reconnect with nature and preserve indigenous cultural values ​​in the flow of modern development.
