Tay An Pagoda is located on a high, spacious platform, within a campus of 15,000 m2. Behind, Sam Mountain stands out like a screen with its dark blue color. The most impressive point of the pagoda is the main face with three ancient temples with round, onion-shaped roofs, colorful but harmonious. The pagoda is built in the "tam" style, with architecture that combines Indian artistic style and ancient Vietnamese architecture. The pagoda was built with durable materials such as bricks, tiles, and cement. At the three-entrance gate is the statue of Quan Am Thi Kinh. Inside the gate is a small pagoda yard with a 16 m high banner. In the front of the pagoda, in the middle is a two-story high Buddha worship tower. Upstairs is a Buddha statue standing in the middle of the high floor, with a curved round roof and pointed top like ancient towers in India. The four towers on the lower floor are guarded by dharma protectors, and in front there are statues of two elephants: a white elephant and a black elephant. The main hall is a large row of houses with two-story roofs, tiled roofs, wooden pillars, and tiled floors. On both sides are the gong ... View more

On both sides are the gong hall and the quadrangle-shaped drum hall, on top decorated with very artistic statues of the four sacred animals (dragon, unicorn, tortoise, phoenix). The great bell tower in the bell tower was created in the 32nd year of Tu Duc's reign (1879).
In the main hall, there are more than 150 large and small statues: statues of Buddha, Bodhisattva, Arhat, Bat Bo Vajra, Jade Emperor, Huynh De, Than Nong, etc. Most of the statues are made of famous wood, elaborately carved. and fine arts, typical of Vietnamese sculpture in the 19th century. In addition, the pagoda also has many horizontal panels and parallel sentences with vibrant colors.
