Surprisingly, they were miraculously rescued and brought ashore, resting right on this rocky outcrop. Therefore, the local people built Dinh Cau in 1937 and renovated it in 1997. Dinh Cau Phu Quoc is a place of worship for three particularly sacred deities in the local people's beliefs: Cau Quy and Cau Tai are two deities revered by the people as protectors of good fortune, wealth, and peace in life.
